A.C.E. American Fellowship Tour 2006

Start: June 4 (Santa Monica, CA)  Finish: July 31st (New York City, NY)

What is the ACE American Fellowship Tour?

This summer, 8 graduates of the University of Notre Dame’s ACE program will be riding their bikes across the country to generate awareness of, and foster support for, under-resourced Catholic education.  In the ACE program, these 8 graduates have spent the last 2 years serving in many unique Catholic schools-hurricane damaged, culturally/ethnically/socio-economically diverse, and many that are in danger of closing.  By staying at Catholic schools and parishes along the way, the participants hope to share their experiences in Catholic schools, while at the same time coming to meet the many communities and members of Catholic education along the way.  By meeting the many communities involved with Catholic education, the tour hopes to generate fellowship between the Alliance for Catholic Education and Catholic schools across the United States.

The trip will not be easy.  It will involve countless miles (3600 to be exact) of pedaling, and the riders will be traveling 85 miles/day through rain, intense heat, headwinds, and sore bodies.  The Tour needs your support as we take on this massive task.  Support can come in many forms, whether it is a note on our message board or a donation to our schools or to the Tour itself.  Click on the links to the left to learn more about the Tour, the riders, and their schools, and to see how you can lend your support.  We hope you come along and join us for the ride.
